Hi friends, hope we’re all keeping well.
I think I’ll keep this post fairly short, as this was a random but impactful thought that I just recently got.
Honestly, I kind of regret not ditching more classes, particularly classes towards the end of the year. There’s a couple of reasons for this opinion.
1. 😴Pointless Revision 😴
At that point in time, the classes were spent on simply revising topics, rather than learning new material.
There truly wasn’t much of a point in staying in a class in which you already knew the topic of inside out. If it was something that you were struggling with, then yeah sure fair enough, by all means go for it.
Plus, I don’t see the point of going to revision classes (of topics that you already know), when you can simply go through it in your own time. Granted, that does require self-discipline and responsibility, but isn’t that still our choice at the end of the day?
2. 🤔No Memories🤔
I can’t think of a single revision class where I fully remember what happened and what was talked about. Why? It’s because they were all mind-numbingly boring.
I can, however, recount most of what happened during the times I skipped classes with friends. I can remember who I skipped the classes with, where we went, what we talked about, what we did afterwards, etc.
At the end of the day, I’m not going to remember 99% of what happened in those final few classes at the end of the year. I can and will, however, retain the fun memories of ditching those same classes with my friends, and how exciting it was to defy and break school rules (I was a very obedient student). I can still remember the exhilarating feeling of trying not to get caught by the hall supervisor, and then laughing about it afterwards with friends.
I remember all of those fun times, and in the end, those are the experiences and memories that I actually value and treasure after leaving school, not sitting in a classroom listening to teachers going over something for the 3rd time.
I was trying really hard to think of a 3rd reason to make the list seem nicer, but alas, I have failed😅
Anyway, just another short rambling post this time. I’m starting to get back into my normal routine after not doing anything for a week, which has honestly made me happier. I feel like I almost always need to have something to work/focus on every day, otherwise I’m just wasting time. I don’t know, I’m a very ‘follow the rules’ person, and like it when things are planned and organised😅
Cool, that’ll probably be it for this post then. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention to not take this post too seriously (though in all seriousness who really does). Stay in your classes and focus on schoolwork, but just remember to have fun with friends😅
Stay safe guys, hopefully I can see you in another post👋🏼
I ditched a lot of classes in school and honestly have no regrets about it lol 😂 I think school is great sometimes but sometimes it can be pointless and some of the things you end up doing can easily be done in a few minutes at home.

Haha, my thoughts exactly. At the end of the day, I values time spent with friends more than time spent in classes
